The Al-Adam champions continued their brilliance at the 20th Asian Games “Aichi-Nagoya 2026”, after the athletics champions succeeded in winning two medals, a gold and a bronze, bringing the Al-Adam tally to 7 medals, with three gold, two silver and two bronze.
The champion, Bassem Muhammad, succeeded in winning the gold medal in the 400 meters hurdles race, after topping the race with a time of 47.82 seconds, adding a new achievement to his record in his Asian participations.
Bassem Mohammed had previously won a silver medal in the previous Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, before he succeeded in topping the podium with a gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Masters, confirming his distinguished presence in Asian competitions and raising the Qatari flag high.
Our hero Zakaria Ibrahim also succeeded in winning the bronze medal in the 3000 meter steeplechase race, after finishing the race in third place with a time of 8:18.13 minutes, ensuring his presence on the podium in his first participation in the Asian Games.
Zakaria Ibrahim’s bronze medal is of special importance, as it is his first participation in the Asian Games, in addition to his being the youngest among the competitors in the final race, as he is 22 years old, in a step that reflects his capabilities and opens wide horizons for him in the future.
The coronation ceremony took place at the Mizuho Park Stadium in Nagoya, Japan, in the presence of a crowd, where Bassem Mohammed and Zakaria Ibrahim raised the Qatari flag high on the podium, in a scene that reflects the distinguished presence of Qatari sports in the twentieth Asian Games.
With these results, Al-Adam’s tally rose to 7 medals, including three gold, two silver and two bronze.
The first gold medal was achieved by our shooting team, consisting of Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah, Rashid Saleh Al-Athba, and Ali Ahmed Al-Ishaq, in the team skeet competition, while Rashid Saleh Al-Athba won the second gold medal in the individual skeet competition, before Bassem Mohammed added the third gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles race in the athletics competitions.
The first silver medal came from the champion in karate, Abdul Rahman Mustafa, who won it in the men’s individual competition for a weight of less than 60 kilograms, while our 3×3 basketball team won the second silver medal.
As for the first bronze medal, it was achieved by our karate champion, Abdullah Rashad Mohieddin Babiker, who won it in the under-84 kilogram competition, while the second bronze medal was achieved by runner Zakaria Ibrahim in the 3,000-meter steeplechase race in the athletics competitions.
The champions of support look forward to continuing to win medals during the upcoming competitions, as our delegation continues to participate in various team and individual games, as the Aichi-Nagoya Masters competitions continue until the fourth of next October.

Zakaria Ibrahim: An honorable achievement

Zakaria Ibrahim, the champion of athletics, expressed his great happiness at winning the bronze medal in the 3000-meter steeplechase race at the 20th Asian Games “Aichi-Nagoya” 2026, which is underway in Japan.
Zakaria said: “I am very happy to win the bronze medal, although I was looking forward to the silver medal, but I faced some difficulties, but I am happy to be on the podium.”
He added: “This is my first participation in the Asian Games, and thank God I achieved the bronze medal, which will be a great motivation for me in the future, especially since I was the youngest among the competitors in the final, and this gives me more experience and pushes me towards striving to achieve more achievements in the future.”
The champion of the most supportive of athletics thanked everyone who supported him and supported him in order to reach the podium, and said: “I thank the Athletics Federation, which strongly supported us by organizing appropriate camps to reach the best readiness, and we will continue to work to achieve more success in the upcoming competitions.”

Bassem Muhammad: Proud of the gold medal

Bassem Muhammad, the champion of athletics, confirmed his feeling of pride after winning the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles race, at the 20th Asian Games “Aichi-Nagoya” 2026, currently being held in Japan.
He said: “This medal is the result of a great effort made since the previous Asian Games, and thank God it culminated in obtaining the gold. I feel proud to raise the flag of Qatar high in this Asian forum, and I look forward to more achievements in the future.” He pointed out that the absence of his colleague Abdul Rahman Samba due to injury was an incentive for him to give his best in order to achieve the gold medal and ensure the Qatari presence on the podium.
Regarding the tactic he followed in the final race, through which he secured the lead, he said: “The credit for this tactic goes to Khalifa Abdul Malik, the national teams director, who provides me with advice and appropriate tactics before every important race, and this contributed to obtaining the gold medal,” indicating his aspiration to achieve more achievements during the upcoming competitions.

Our relay team qualifies for the final

Our support team succeeded in qualifying for the final of the 400 x 4 meter race after coming in second in the qualifiers that took place yesterday. Our team, consisting of Ismail Daoud, Youssef Abdelaziz Jibreen, Samer Musa Hassan, and Muhammad Kalla, was able to finish the race with a time of (3:01.71 minutes), which is the best time achieved by this team during the current season.
The champions of support are looking forward to competing for a medal during the final race that will be held today, amidst very strong competition in light of the presence of the strongest competitors in Asia in this race.

The “Powers” ​​champions continue to appear in the finals

The champions of athletics are competing in several finals today, in the Asian Games currently being held in Japan, amid aspirations of achieving more medals and standing on the podium.
Saif Abdul Salam will also compete in the pole vault final, and he hopes to perform honorably despite the strong competition and maintain his chances of competing for the first places.
The Adaam duo, Abu Bakr Abdullah and Hatem Hamid, will compete in the final of the 800-meter race, in addition to the Adaam relay race in the final of the 400 x 4-meter race, amid aspirations of winning more medals at the Asiad.
