The delegation of our national junior handball team was received with flowers at Hamad International Airport, after returning home loaded with precious continental gold, crowned with an exceptional and unprecedented historical achievement represented by the crowning of our champions with the title of the 11th edition of the Asian Championship (under 19 years) that took place in Jordan, and after a wonderful march that was concluded by Al-Annabi with a full mark, in addition to grabbing the official and early qualification card to the upcoming World Championship competitions in North Macedonia 2027.
The arrival hall at Hamad International Airport witnessed an exceptional and massive celebration atmosphere, as the champions of the continental achievement were received by a number of officials from the Qatari handball family and fans who love Annabi, presented by Mohammed Jaber, Secretary General of the Handball Federation, and Sultan Al-Muraikhi, Director of the Cubs Handball Team, along with a crowd of board members, federation officials, media outlets, players’ families, and Annabi fans.
In a scene that reflects the great appreciation for the efforts made by the delegation members throughout the days of the tournament, the federation officials and the reception attendees took the initiative to encircle the necks of the administrative delegation members, the technical and administrative staff, and the champion players with flowers, amid an atmosphere full of pride and feelings of overwhelming joy that flooded the hearts of Qatari sports fans.

Sultan Al-Muraikhi, manager of the Cubs handball team, expressed his great happiness with the achievement achieved by our national junior team, after winning the Asian Cup title and qualifying for the World Cup finals, stressing that this achievement is the result of the continuous work and great interest that the Sunni groups enjoy in Qatari handball.
Al-Muraikhi said: Praise be to God for this great achievement of which we are all proud, and I congratulate our team for this well-deserved coronation and qualification to the World Cup. This achievement did not come out of nowhere, but was the result of great efforts and continuous work from everyone.
He added: The great interest and continuous support of Ahmed Al Shaabi, President of the Qatari Handball Federation, and Mohammed Jaber, Secretary General of the Federation, played an important and fundamental role in reaching this achievement, by providing all the elements of success and the necessary support for the team and the players.
