Today, Portuguese Pedro Martinez, Al Gharafa coach, expressed his aspiration to win the match against Al Shamal, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, at Al Bayt Stadium, in the fourth round of the Qatar Football League / Ooredoo Stars League / 2024-2025.
The coach confirmed in the press conference preceding the match the team’s readiness to face the match, especially with the joining of some players to training, most notably the trio Mohammed Muntari, Ahmed Al-Janahi and Rabeh Yahya, after their recent absence due to injury, noting that the return of these players is a good thing, as there are no longer any injuries among the team, and the technical staff now has more solutions before facing Al-Shamal.
The Portuguese pointed out that the Al Shamal team started the season very well, after defeating Al Sadd, before losing the last two matches in the league, expecting tomorrow’s match to be difficult.
He also stressed the importance of getting the three points from the match, calling on his players to do everything in their power to achieve victory.
Al Gharafa coach confirmed that he trusts the players’ ability to do their best in the match, and he is comfortable in this regard because they know the importance of this match against Al Shamal.
For his part, the other Portuguese, Nuno Almeida, coach of Al Shamal team, stressed the difficulty of the match against Al Gharafa, expressing his aspiration to achieve victory and obtain the three points.
The coach confirmed Al Shamal’s readiness to face the match, after the technical staff worked during the international break to prepare the players physically and technically.
Almeida described Al Gharafa as one of the best teams in the league, and that it includes a group of distinguished players. It is also an organized and strong team, but at the same time, Al Shamal will be ready to play the match, and is looking forward to presenting a good level and obtaining a positive result.
Al Shamal coach concluded by stressing the team’s efforts to avoid the problems it suffered from in the past matches, as well as to stop the dangerous players in Al Gharafa team.
