The Arab Handball Federation announced the participation of Al-Gharafa of Qatar in the 39th Arab Handball Championship for League and Cup Champions Clubs, which will be held in the State of Kuwait during the period from September 15 to 25.

Thus, Al Gharafa will be the second Qatari representative in the tournament, alongside Al Ahli.

The list of clubs participating in the tournament includes: Al-Ahly and Al-Gharafa (Qatar), Kuwait, Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Salmiya (Kuwait), Al-Hashd and Al-Karkh (Iraq), Mudhar and Al-Huda (Saudi Arabia), Maliha (UAE), Al-Ahly Bank (Egypt), Mouloudia Bordj Bou Arreridj and Olympique El Oued (Algeria), and Shabab Al-Qoton and Al-Sha’la (Yemen).

Kuwait SC won the last edition of the tournament, which was held in Saudi Arabia last year, after defeating Egypt’s Zamalek 31/30 in the final match.

It is noteworthy that Al Rayyan of Qatar won the title of the twenty-first edition of the tournament, which was held in Sharjah in 2000, and Al Gharafa of Qatar won the title of the thirty-fifth edition, which was held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in 2019.
