The third edition of the Ramadan Football Pearl Island, which was organized by the United Development Company in “Tampa Arena”, was organized from 5 to 19 March, in an enthusiastic and Ramadan sporting atmosphere, and combined the players, the public and families in a distinguished community experience.
The tournament concluded with a ceremony honoring the winning team and the participants, as the “Al -Ghiariya” team won first place, while the “ECM” team finished second, and the team of Captain Sayed won third place.
Since its launch, the tournament has witnessed continuous growth, as it started with the participation of 12 teams in its first edition, and expanded to 16 teams in the second edition, to record a record this year with the participation of 24 teams. This noticeable increase in the number of popular teams of the championship, and great enthusiasm by both participating teams and the public alike. During the championship period, the “turquoise” courtyard turned into a vibrant gathering point, which included an interactive area for fans, and a corner dedicated to children, as well as entertainment activities, special offers and interactive competitions that added to the event a distinctive festive nature.
A number of participants expressed their gratitude for organizing this event, as one of the players said: “I extend my sincere thanks to the United Development Company for organizing this distinguished tournament, which was distinguished by the spirit of fair competition and high -end organization.” Another player added: “I follow the development of the tournament year after year, and there is no doubt that what we have seen from planning and organizing this year created a wonderful atmosphere for all the participants.”
Thus, the tournament confirmed its position as one of the most prominent community sports events during the month of Ramadan in Qatar. The Pearl Island confirms its commitment to the continuation of the organization of sporting and societal events that enhance the bonds of interconnection, and provide distinguished experiences for the island’s residents and visitors.
