Al-Hilal of Sudan played its first match in the Mauritanian League in a historic incident, achieving a great victory in its first appearance away from its country’s league.
“Blue” began its journey in the Mauritanian League with a 4-1 victory over Inter Nouakchott in the confrontation hosted by Sheikha Bedia International Stadium.
The match was held for the second round of the Mauritanian League, as the Sudanese champion’s participation was delayed due to his participation in the African Champions League competitions, and he succeeded in reserving his place in the groups after defeating the Ivorian club Saint Pedor.
Al-Hilal and Al-Merreikh from Sudan participate in the Mauritanian League due to the political events taking place in the country and the cessation of local competitions for nearly two years.
Al-Hilal’s goals were scored by Waliddine Khader “Pogba” and Malian Adama Coulibaly, while Burundian winger Jean-Claude added two goals, and Ibrahim Al-Khalil Niaki reduced the score for Inter, leaving Al-Hilal in fourth place with 3 points.
On the other hand, Al-Merreikh will meet the National Gendarmerie today, Friday, for the second week, as the Sudanese team did not play the first round either due to its participation in the African Champions League.
