Under the honorary sponsorship of His Excellency Mr. Samir bin Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry – President of the Union of Arab Chambers, and at the invitation of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization for the year 2024 AD, and in cooperation with the Regional Responsibility Network, Dr. Maysar Siddiq, the accredited international real estate expert and member, participated. Founder of the international real estate associations ICREA – NAR – FIABCI – AURD, the International Ambassador for Social Responsibility at the United Nations, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ibhar Projects Group at the International Conference on Social Responsibility, which was held on September 19 in the Bahraini capital, Manama, at the headquarters of the Rotana Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The forum activities were opened by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul-Jabbar Al-Kuhiji, Second Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of many specialists. Three working sessions were held during the forum in which many experts and specialists presented distinguished working papers on digital economy technology and applications of artificial intelligence and their role in enhancing… sustainable development.

Ibhar Projects Group has always been the first to support these events over the past years. Dr. Maysar Siddiq presented a research paper entitled The Modern Concept of Social Responsibility for the Private Sector and Its Tools for Responding to Community Needs in Times of Crises. The paper addressed several topics, which are:
The efforts of the State of Qatar in social responsibility are a model to be emulated internationally.
The idea and definition of social responsibility in the private sector and the difference between it and the obligation of zakat and taxes.
Historical experiences of social responsibility across civilizations.
Social responsibility
In the private sector, he gives with self-conviction.
His speech focused on an important clarification, which is that social responsibility is not like the obligation of zakat or taxes owed by companies on money or property taken from the money and resources of the rich to be placed in the hands of the poor, but social responsibility is a first-class voluntary work carried out by the individual or institution voluntarily without any kind of Types of imposition or coercion. This role stems from the individual and the institution’s sense of what society has provided to him to achieve the profitability he achieved during the course of his work. This is the society that helped him develop, develop, and market his work and helped him in the success, gain, and profitability he achieved. The individual and the institution must play an effective role to return this cooperation. In the form of assistance that he provides to his community to develop it and help it achieve well-being for its members. This is originally the reason for creating the idea of social responsibility in a brief and effective framework.
From this standpoint, Ibhar Projects Group, which represents one of the Arab private sector entities, has created an effective partnership with the community through many community initiatives. As His Excellency, a United Nations Ambassador for Community Partnership, I worked to employ this professional and honorary title to achieve a greater role for the private sector in the areas of social responsibility.
Finally, Siddiq confirms that social responsibility is considered one of the most important duties of companies and national institutions, and it is a continuous commitment voluntarily and with conviction on their part to contribute to developing and improving the cultural, educational, economic and health level of owners of small and medium enterprises, caring for the community and responding to its needs, so that this sector is an active partner in Development in its areas of business and influence.
