The State of Qatar hosted the Doha International Conference on Diamonds and December 2025, with the participation of government officials, leaders and experts from the diamond sector from more than 40 countries.
Qatar for tourism confirmed in a statement that the conference, which was held under the auspices of “Qatar Tourism” in Doha, and witnessed the participation of prominent international personalities, discussed the most prominent trends in the sector, and contributed to enhancing cooperation and addressing the challenges facing the diamond industry and gemstones.
“The conference represents a vital platform to explore the fundamental transformations in this market,” said the President of Qatar, President of Qatar for Tourism and Chairman of the Visit QATAR Board of Directors. Qatar’s strategic vision is to become a global center for luxury, which combines global infrastructure, exceptional hospitality and ancient cultural heritage.
He expressed his confidence in strengthening the partnerships and visions that will be presented during this conference, the future innovation and the consolidation of Qatar’s position on the global scene.
For his part, Mr. Alex Popov, Chairman of the Doha International Diamond and Stones Conference Committee, expressed the pride of the organizing committee for its success in organizing this first conference of its kind in just three months, hoping that it will be the beginning of a long and beautiful tradition here in Qatar.
The conference, which lasted for three days, witnessed major words, collective discussions and interactive sessions presented by prominent personalities, including His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al -Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and His Excellency Mr. Buqulu Joy Kenyundo, Minister of Minerals and Energy at Botswana, and Mr. Ahmed Bin Selim, CEO of the Dubai Center for Multiple Commodities, Ferial Zarrouqi, Chairman of the World Diamond Council, Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Export Exports Exports and Jewelery.
The conference also gave the participants an opportunity to explore the latest trends and innovations that make up the diamond sector and gemstones, in addition to enjoying the distinctive Qatari hospitality.
The conference is in line with Qatar’s strategic goals to enhance the meeting, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.
