The Qatar Railways Company “Rail” hosted a student delegation from the University of Texas Ed & M and Hamad bin Khalifa on a field visit within the main maintenance depot and the main control center for operations in the Lusail Tram.
During the visit, the participants were briefed on the latest practices, technologies and systems approved in the operations and maintenance of the network.
The Lusail Tram operating team consists of 510 employees in various technical, administrative and operational specialties, customer service and others, and the operating operations of the tram are controlled through the main operations control center, which is located in the main warehouse of tram in the west of Lusail.
The Lusail Tram, which extends 28 km and includes four lines and 25 stations (including two exchange stations with the Doha Metro), covers the main destinations in the city of Lusail, such as government agencies, residential towers, sports facilities, marina and other destinations in the city. Travel cards allow passengers to travel between Doha Metro and Lusail Metro Square.
