Qatar Tourism, in cooperation with the General Traffic Department, organized an awareness workshop on traffic safety requirements, targeting tourist guides, tourism offices and accredited flight operators, within the framework of joint cooperation between government agencies to enhance a safe tourism environment in the State of Qatar.
The workshop aimed to raise the level of awareness of legal requirements and safety procedures to be followed during the organization of tourism tours and related transportation, ensuring a safe and smooth experience for visitors and tourists. The program included an interactive session and an open discussion in which specialists provided practical advice and detailed guidelines on traffic safety obligations, while highlighting the most important laws that must be adhered to during the transfer of visitors in various tourist sites.
The workshop also dealt with the definition of traffic law and traffic safety requirements to reduce wrong behaviors, identify the right and safe roads in tourist places, and adhere to safety guidelines and rules for that, to ensure the safety of visitors and tourists, especially during the transfer of tourists and roaming in various places. The lecture also dealt with a number of common traffic errors that result in traffic accidents.
In this context, Mr. Fahd Hassan Al -Abd Al -Malik, Director of the Department of Tourism licenses in Qatar for Tourism, said: “We in Qatar for tourism are putting the safety of visitors at the top of our priorities, and this workshop comes within the framework of our continuous commitment to enhance the efficiency of the tourism sector and raise the readiness of its workers, especially the guides and tourist trips operators, who represent the first facade of the visitor’s experience.” Mr. Fahd welcomed this type of interactive workshop, which represents an important opportunity to consolidate the culture of responsibility and adhere to traffic laws, and also contributes to building effective partnerships between government agencies and the private sector, which reflects the spirit of cooperation and joint work in developing a safe and comprehensive tourism environment.
Brigadier Jassim Nasser Al -Hamidi, Director of Traffic Awareness Department, also stressed the keenness and attention of the General Traffic Department in the tourism sector and work to enhance traffic safety and spread the culture of the Traffic Law and adhere to the traffic rules to ensure the safety of tourists in all tourist places to spend safe tourism that guarantee the safety of everyone, through holding seminars, lectures and awareness messages across all means.
