The Qatari police team will begin its campaign in the 43rd edition of the Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship by facing Erbil of Iraq tomorrow, “Friday,” as part of the third group competitions in the Al-Arabi Club hall.
Three matches will also be held tomorrow, as Al-Seeb of Oman will face Zamalek of Egypt in the first match, and the second match will bring together Al-Kuwait of Kuwait with Al-Hilal of Libya in the Qatar Hall, while Dar Kulaib of Bahrain will meet Al-Ahly of Egypt in the third match in the Al-Arabi Hall.
The police team is seeking to achieve victory in its first match, to be a strong start for the team that aspires to advance in light of the strong competition between the championship teams.
The Tunisian coach of the police team, Marawan Al-Fehri, had prepared well for the tournament through league matches and setting up an internal camp for arrangement and preparation, with the aim of providing a distinguished performance in the third group, which includes strong teams such as Erbil of Iraq, Dar Kulaib of Bahrain, and Al-Ahly of Egypt, in addition to the Qatari Police.
In turn, Khalifa Salem Al-Hamad, head of the police club’s volleyball team, expressed the team’s readiness to compete in the tournament, noting that the tournament’s competitions are expected to be full of excitement and strength, especially with the participation of clubs with a long history in regional and international tournaments.
He pointed out that the police team will enter the tournament with great ambition to win the title, in light of the strong competition between the big Arab clubs, which gives the event special importance. He said, “We are ready for the first match against the Iraqi Erbil, and we have studied the opposing team by watching several of their matches to find out… Strengths and weaknesses.
He stressed that winning the first match would provide a great moral boost for the team to continue its victories and qualify for the second round, especially since the third group includes strong teams such as Al-Ahly of Egypt and Dar Kulaib of Bahrain, which requires dealing with each match step by step.
For his part, Yousef Kanoo, Secretary General of the Qatar Volleyball Federation, welcomed all delegations participating in the Arab Championship, wishing them a successful stay and successful competitions, with the safety of all players.
Kanu stressed the readiness of the Qatari Federation to meet all the needs of the participating delegations, and to provide the appropriate atmosphere to ensure the success of the tournament, considering that all four groups are strong, which requires all teams to exert maximum effort in each match, which will give the competitions great strength and excitement.
He invited the fans to attend the matches in the Al Arabi and Qatar Club halls to enjoy strong matches between old and great teams, stressing that the tournament will witness distinctive levels of challenge and excitement.
