An analytical meeting to prepare the referees for the seventh round of the Arid League

The Qatar Football Association’s Arbitration Department, headed by Hani Taleb Ballan, held its regular analytical meeting at the Al Shoala Hotel yesterday, in the presence of committee members, technical experts, referee evaluators and elite referees, in order to analyze the arbitration cases in the fifth and sixth rounds of the Arid Stars League, and to talk about the seventh round that will be held. On Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19, and prepare for it optimally.
The meeting also witnessed training on the (COMET) program approved by the Qatar Football Association, and Dr. Jassim Al-Mulla, Director of Information Systems at the Federation, gave a detailed explanation of the program through which the referee, evaluator and observer make their own report after the match “online” and via mobile phone.
The program aims to create match reports electronically and send them automatically, “online.” The program saves the information in a secure database that is easy to access in the future. The meeting also focused on the psychological and mental aspects of referees through a lecture by Dr. Ayesh Al-Qahtani, the Islamic preacher, family counselor, and psychological guide, during which the focus was on encouraging them to continue working, moving forward, raising their level, and getting rid of the pressures that the referee is always exposed to in matches and the extent of the impact of those pressures on him. This is in order to equip referees in the best way to manage matches.
