The activities of the tenth edition of the Aspire Academy World Summit 2024, organized by the Aspire Academy, concluded yesterday evening over two days (11 and 12 of this November) at the Regency Resort in the Sealine area in the heart of the charming Qatar desert. The tenth edition of the summit attracted attendance from dozens of countries around the world, with the active participation of the Aspire Colleagues community. It is the platform that brings together 50 sports entities, including clubs, federations and leagues from various continents of the world, in addition to a wide participation of Qatari coaches and members of the technical staff from various Qatari clubs. The famous Argentine star, Gabriel Batistuta, who was scheduled to speak on the second day of the summit as part of the “Star Chat” segment, apologized at the last minute for not attending due to urgent family circumstances.

Honoring Aspire veterans
Mr. Ali Salem Afifa, Chairman of the Aspire World Academy Summit 2024, and Professor Valter Di Salvo, Executive Director of the Summit, honored a number of names from the veteran community of Aspire colleagues around the world from Italy, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, the Netherlands, and the United States of America, which will organize the next World Cup in 2026 with Mexico and Canada. Dinner in the heart of the desert
The Aspire World Academy Summit 2024 concluded with a unique experience at the Inland Sea (Khor Al Udayd), allowing participants to witness Qatar’s stunning sunset while attendees found themselves immersed in the essence of Qatar’s rich culture and warm hospitality. It was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable summit.
The organizing committee also held a dinner party after the end of the activities of the first day of the summit in a charming Qatari atmosphere, in which the desert sands embraced the starlight in the “The Outpost” prairie area in Sealine in the Qatar desert.

Scariolo: Continuing education
This wonderful evening included a “star chat” with Italian basketball coach Sergio Scariolo, the current coach of the Spanish national basketball team, under whose leadership the Spanish national team won one World Cup title and four European Basketball Championship titles.
In his speech, Scariolo touched on modern training techniques in international basketball, stressing the importance of continuing to learn and building bonds of communication with players. Sergio Scariolo spoke about how his style of communication developed over time, saying: In the beginning, communication meant telling the players what to do. They have to do and stay on top of everything. Through experience and maturity, I have learned that communication depends on listening, patience, and awareness of body language.

Four main workshops
The activities of the second and final day of the Aspire Global Academy Summit 2024 included four main workshops, with three football figures from the Aspire Fellows community participating in each of the four sessions.
In the first two workshops, the focus was on the technical and tactical revolution of the past ten years, while the title of the third and fourth workshops was the future of football and what is coming in it, with the participation of the Aspire Fellows community. The Argentine said: As coaches, we must give priority to young players and identify their problems even without them being aware of it, as well as try to understand their aspirations, desires and interests. Gerard Trevi Guardiola, director of the methodology department at the Spanish club Barcelona, ​​said that football has changed a lot in recent years, and we must imagine preparing for a match now and 10 years ago to see that.
Jose Tavares, Director of the Academy of the Portuguese Club Porto, said that the real revolution in football has already occurred and it lies in the diversity of the game, which is one of the reasons for its success and continuation, and the idea here is the passion that is built between the coaches and the young player. Cristian Javier Ramirez, tactical performance analyst for the Brazilian women’s national team, began his speech by saying that football needs players who are more quick and energetic because football needs quick decisions on the field and teams seek to search for mechanisms that will help them excel.

Qatar is a model of excellence
Cesar Antonio, Director of the Academy of the Chilean Club Universidad, praised the summit and said that the State of Qatar, through the Aspire Academy, represents a role model in the field of bringing the global football family closer together, and I know the great work that is taking place in the State of Qatar, especially with regard to how to deal with different cultures and this summit.
