The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the launch of 20 new electronic services through its website, within the framework of implementing the Ministry’s strategy (2024-2030), especially those related to achieving excellence in providing government services based on innovation, and improving customer experience through 100% complete digital transformation, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Ministry explained that users can benefit from the new services through the website of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry through the electronic services section, using the national authentication system to ensure the highest levels of security and data confidentiality.
This step aims to simplify procedures, speed up the completion of transactions, and improve the user experience, thus contributing to raising the efficiency of services provided to consumers and investors alike, and enhancing institutional excellence in providing government services.
The new digital services cover a wide range of areas of the Ministry’s work, including quality licensing services and market monitoring for goods and services, a system for evaluating and monitoring prices for commercial establishments, in addition to competition protection services, consumer protection services and combating commercial fraud, related to recalling defective goods, following up on complaints submitted by consumers and the mechanism for dealing with them, as well as the possibility of filing complaints electronically. And follow up on inspections conducted on companies.
The new services also include direct linking with the General Authority of Customs to facilitate the process of registering goods after customs release, in addition to providing the ability to review companies and services electronically, follow up on submitted applications, and know their status step by step.
These services target various categories of those dealing with the Ministry, including companies that own products that are recalled from the market, citizens and residents who wish to report violations related to the laws of the consumer affairs sector, and owners of commercial establishments who must register goods and services.
The Ministry stressed that the launch of these electronic services represents a qualitative leap towards comprehensive digital transformation in its services, which contributes to accelerating the pace of completing transactions, simplifying procedures, and improving the quality of services provided to the public, which enhances the business environment in the country and supports its competitiveness at the regional and international levels.
