The Federation’s arbitration department and the referees’ committee, headed by Hani Taleb Ballan, honored Swiss Massimo Busacca, Director of the FIFA Refereeing Department, on the sidelines of the regular analytical meeting for referees that was held at the Al Shoala Hotel, where Hani Taleb Ballan awarded Busacca a commemorative shield in appreciation of his visit to Doha and his follow-up. Busacca was keen to thank the arbitration administration and spoke during the analytical meeting, praising the great development he had seen at the level of Qatari arbitration in recent years, stressing that in the past years there were very few Qatari referees on the scene, now there are many Qatari referees. He said, “I was not surprised when I saw young Qatari referees managing league matches with all efficiency and professionalism because they were prepared in the required manner and in accordance with international standards.”
He added, “In reference to what I witnessed from the preparation program, I tell you that you should be proud of the distinguished level you have reached, and I wish you to continue in the same approach. You should be the elite of the elite.”
For his part, Hani Taleb Blanc thanked Massimo Busacca for his presence and close follow-up of Qatari arbitration activities, stressing that he is a constant supporter of the arbitration system as a whole.
He said: Busacca always shares advice and guidance with us, and we have the technical expert Valentin Ivanov, who has very great experience in the world of arbitration, and the presence of the duo in addition to the referees must exploit it well.
