Qatar Chamber reviewed with its Vietnamese counterpart the prospects for joint cooperation and the investment climate and opportunities available between the Qatari and Vietnamese private sectors.

This came during a meeting between Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber, with Mr. Vu Tan Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He stressed the Qatar Chamber’s support and encouragement for Qatari investors to explore investment opportunities available in Vietnam, calling on the Vietnamese side to invest in Qatar, which provides many opportunities in many sectors.

For his part, the Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the goal of the visit is to promote the economy and investment climate in Vietnam and stimulate Qatari investments in his country.

He added that the relations between the two countries are distinguished, but the volume of trade exchange is still below the level of expectations, pointing out that there are many sectors in which companies from both sides can cooperate, such as infrastructure, food security, renewable energy, information technology, and energy.

He pointed out that Vietnam can supply Qatar with many high-quality food products, including halal food, clothing and electronics, calling on Qatari investors to visit his country and learn about the investment climate there and the incentives and facilities available there.

In a related context, he pointed out that the Qatar and Vietnam Chambers signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2014 to enhance cooperation between the Qatari and Vietnamese private sectors, noting the importance of exchanging visits at the level of business delegations to explore the investment opportunities available in each side.
