“Communications” cooperates with “social development” to enhance the digital culture of families

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and Family, launched a new phase of joint work aimed at expanding the scope of spreading the content of the “Saif Space” initiative through the Ministry of Social Development and Family’s platforms, as part of a joint cooperation agreement that reflects the commitment of the two sides to support societal digital awareness. This is in light of the digital expansion witnessed by the Qatari society, the importance of digital awareness as a basic pillar to protect the family and enhance the safe use of technology.
This cooperation is an important step that establishes a practical model for institutional integration, as it brings together the expertise of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in developing awareness content, and the role of the Ministry of Social Development and Family in effective access to the segments of Qatari society. This integration aims to provide parents, children and adolescents with cognitive tools that help them in safe dealing with the digital world, and enhances their ability to face its challenges with confidence and awareness.
“Spreading a responsible digital culture within the family is not only an awareness goal, but it is a strategic necessity,” said Ms. Duha Al -Boundi, Director of Digital Community and Digital Compassionate at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Through the “Saif Space” initiative, we are presented studied content in a simplified and effective style that touches the reality of users, and addresses families in a language close to their daily lives.
In this cooperation, we added with the Ministry of Social Development and Family a double opportunity to transfer these messages to the widest possible segment of the public. “Achieving the real societal impact requires teamwork and institutional integration,” she added. Therefore, for us this agreement represents a model for what national partnerships, which contribute to promoting digital safety, consolidating responsible behavior, and enabling the family to deal with technology tools with confidence and safety.
For her part, Mrs. Dhabiya Al -Maqbali, Director of Family Development Department at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, said: “This cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology represents an important station in our joint endeavors to build a conscious digital community. We believe that the protection of the family in the digital age begins to raise awareness, and that enabling parents with the correct information is one of the aspects of modern social care. The “Saif Space” initiative provides wealthy and purposeful content that helps families deal with the challenges of the digital age with confidence and balance, whether with regard to electronic bullying, privacy protection, or even addiction to smart devices.
