For the third day in a row, the activities of the first edition of the Al Wajbah Camel Festival, the second Qatar Camel Mazain Club festival for the season (2024-2025), which is held in the Al Mazayen area in Labsir, and continues until the fourteenth of this November, continued for the third day in a row.
Yesterday’s festival competitions were strong in the Al-Majahim category for mafarid and haqa’iq, which included six rounds, with three rounds for the mafarid (mafarid local talad, mafarid local shraya, mafarid open qa’dan), and three rounds for the haqaqiq (mafarid local talad, haqaqiq local sharaya, haqaqiq qa’dan open), 60 financial prizes were allocated for it, with 10 prizes for the first ten places in each round.
Yesterday’s competitions witnessed the coronation of the winners of the six rounds of the Al-Majahim category for Al-Mafarid and Al-Haqayeq, in which 446 horses competed.
On a related note, yesterday’s events at the festival witnessed the entry of camels to participate in the rounds designated for Asayel in the years of the Jal and Shalfa competitions, with two rounds for the camels (local gel Tlad, local gel Sharaya), for which 20 financial prizes were allocated, with 10 prizes for the first ten places in each round. And one round for Al-Shalfa (local Daq Sharaya number 10), for which 3 cars were allocated for the first three places.
The turnout for the Al-Asayel races for the Jal and Shalfa was remarkable after 101 mounts were registered to participate, with 24 mounts in the local Jal Talad race, 26 mounts in the local Jel Sharaya race, and 51 mounts in the 10 local Dak Sharaya race.
