The Pearl Factory for the conversion of the gas into fluids, the largest of its kind, officially, has officially recognized the recognition by the World Economic Forum as a member of the prestigious global lighthouses network. This honor is the first of its kind for a Qatari facility, to put the pearl factory within the elite of industrial sites globally that top the implementation of the fourth industrial revolution technologies on a large scale.
The pearl factory facility to convert gas into fluids is operated by Shell on behalf of the State of Qatar, represented by Qatar Energy, which reflects the long strategic partnership power between the two parties. The facility has succeeded in achieving concrete and measureable improvements in reliability, reducing emissions, and efficiency of operations, by applying more than 45 advanced digital solutions, including artificial intelligence -backed predictive analyzes, digital twinning platforms, and instant monitoring systems for the safety of the facility.

The Pearl Factory embodies a vivid model of the ability of digital transformation to advance the great progress in operating excellence, rationalize expenditures, enhance safety, and upgrade environmental performance, highlighting the concrete value to adopt the technologies of the next generation in large -scale industrial environments.
Qatar Energy Company has played a pivotal role in enabling this transformation, as it included its strategic supervision and its commitment to innovation that the Pearl Project is not limited to meeting the global standards for the production of sustainable energy, but also transcends it to higher horizons than excellence.

In 2024, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center was established in Qatar, with the aim of accelerating digital transformation and enhancing innovation in the main sectors. The center, which was launched in cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and the World Economic Forum, is a leading platform for the design and application of future political frameworks, aimed at enabling the development and deployment of the fourth industrial revolution technologies in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

As one of the leading assets of Shell and Qatar Energy, the Pearl Factory to convert gas into fluids at the forefront of the scene highlights the implementation of the fourth industrial revolution technologies on a large scale, putting new criteria for technological progress and innovation in the energy sector.
It is worth noting that the global Al -Manarat Network was launched in 2018, to gather under its umbrella the finest industrial sites around the world, and to celebrate its impressive successes in the fields of productivity, the flexibility of the supply chain, focus on customers, sustainability, and talent development.
