Initial health care in Qatar launches a family medicine certificate program

The Primary Health Care Corporation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, launched a family medicine certificate program aimed at preparing a new generation of general practitioners for family medicine specialization qualified to provide comprehensive community health care in any government or private health institution in the State of Qatar.

The program was launched on the first of September, where it received the first batch of 15 graduates of medical colleges from the residents of the residents, and will continue for a full year with a full -time system.

The program focuses on building a solid scientific and practical base through intense clinical training, evidence -based practice, and multidisciplinary cooperation in health centers.

“The new program reflects the strategic direction of the State of Qatar towards promoting primary care, which is a long -term investment in community health,” said Dr. Hanan Majali – Executive Director of the Clinical Affairs Department at the Primary Care Corporation.

She pointed out that the graduates of this program will contribute to diagnosing diseases early, preventing them and thus promoting health in society.
