Availability and accessibility features allow people with disabilities to enjoy the exciting football atmosphere in Aspire Zone

With the start of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025™, fans are flocking to the competition complex in Aspire Zone to support their teams in the World Junior Championship, which provides an accessible and accessible experience for fans with disabilities, enabling them to attend matches and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of the football festival.

Below we highlight three key accessibility features that enable fans with disabilities to participate in the tournament experience:

Designated spaces for wheelchair users in all stadiums

All eight stadiums in the Aspire Zone Competition Complex have designated seating options for fans who use wheelchairs, and these spaces will also be available for the final match hosted by Khalifa International Stadium, which is also located in Aspire Zone.

Descriptive audio commentary service through a smart phone application

The audio commentary service is available in Arabic and English in a number of matches, including all Qatari national team matches, where blind and visually impaired fans can download the annak3 application.

“About you”, enter the code U17, and choose the audio channel they desire.

Using their headphones, fans can listen to detailed commentary of the match, including a description of the atmosphere in the stands and even the players’ reactions and facial expressions, enabling them to enjoy a barrier-free experience while watching the matches.

Sensory assistance room in the fan area

The fan zone includes a sensory assistance room for fans with autism and sensory perception difficulties. This room is managed in partnership with the Qatar Foundation Pre-University Education Program, and allows fans with autism and sensory difficulties to watch the matches in a quieter place equipped with assistive technology, and supervised by a team of specialists.

How to apply for availability and accessibility tickets

Fans with disabilities can apply for accessibility tickets by emailing: [email protected]. Tickets are available at a price of 10 Qatari riyals, and orders are managed by a dedicated team.

These tickets allow you to attend more than one match per day, in addition to enjoying the cultural and entertainment activities and events held in the fan zone, which receives fans on match days only, starting at 1:30 pm until the final whistle of the last match.

Holders of these tickets must present proof of disability when entering Aspire Zone and Khalifa International Stadium. Tickets are also available for those accompanying persons with disabilities.
