The Israeli war machine still harvested more children’s lives in the Gaza Strip, amid tragic numbers that reveal the size of the human tragedy experienced by more than a million children in the besieged sector.
According to official statistics published by the Government Media Office in Gaza in cooperation with UNICEF and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs “OCHA”, there are more than 18,000 children who have been martyred since the start of the aggression on Gaza on October 7.
The figures show that 322 children were martyred in only 10 days after the truce collapsed and the ceasefire, while 130 children were killed in one day (March 18) in the fiercest daily toll of children since the outbreak of the war.
The targeting is not only limited to children’s lives, but also extends to include their basic lives. More than 65,000 children in Gaza suffer from severe malnutrition, in light of the scarcity of food and the collapse of the health system due to the continuous blockade and military operations.
Also, about 95% of schools in the sector are either destroyed or totally suspended from work, which deprives thousands of children of their right to education, and threatens the future of a complete generation to forget.
The data show that more than a million children in Gaza are in urgent need of psychological support, with accumulated shocks caused by loss, destruction and frequent forced displacement.
About 17,000 children live in Gaza today without their families, some of them have completely lost his family, and others were separated from their fathers and mothers under the shelling or forced displacement trips, which raises the number of orphans and separate to unprecedented levels.
Human rights and humanitarian organizations warn of catastrophic repercussions in the long term if the urgent intervention is not made to stop the war, introduce aid, provide psychological and health protection and care for surviving children.
