In the context of the Espeaar Academy’s continuous celebrations of its twentieth anniversary, the “La Shutaqa” football Cup was successfully held on the academy’s internal stadium. The event witnessed a presentation of the most prominent spherical talent from the final schools, which reflects the academy’s commitment to sponsoring the next generation of athletes.
12 schools from public and private schools for students born in 2016 competed, after qualifying through the qualifiers held in November last year. The finals constituted an exceptional opportunity for these young players to review their talents in a competitive atmosphere, benefiting from the global sporting facilities of the Aspire Academy. The championship also provided the talent discovery department at the Academy an important platform for monitoring talented players who could be the nucleus of the future football program.
Each team played five strong and enthusiastic matches during the finals.
“The Cup of your wings” was inspired by the logo of the opening ceremony of the Aspire Academy in 2005, and this year’s version witnessed the participation of more than 700 students from 70 schools. “We are proud to host this tournament for the local community, in addition to its effective contribution to supporting the talent detection center program in the academy,” said Mr. Ali Salem Afifa, Deputy Director General of the Aspire Academy. It is not only limited to competition, but also includes building a winning mentality, sponsoring the future champions, and making pride moments for players and their families.
