Google has announced the launch of a new feature called “favorite sources”, which allows users to allocate the news experience in the research by choosing their favorite sources within the most important news section.
The company explained that the new feature enables users to stay aware of the content from the sites they follow and share, including sports blogs and local news sources.
She added that when the user chooses his favorite sources, the articles from these sites will be presented prominently within the most important news section when publishing these sources related to the search information for those who use this feature, as the user will need to search for a news topic and click on the icon on the right of the most important news and search section and choose its favorite sources, then update the results to see more content from its favorite sites.
The chosen sources will appear more frequently in the most important news section or in a dedicated section “from your sources” on the search results page, and the user will still see content from other sites and can manage his choices at any time.
The company indicated that users can choose any number of sources they want, as preliminary tests showed that more than half of users have chosen four or more sources, and the choices of users who previously registered through Google Labs will be applied automatically.
Google added that this feature will be launched from today in the United States of America and India, and will be widely available in the coming days.
