Chinese smartphone company Honor has launched its foldable phone, Honor Magic V3, which is once again competing for leadership with a lighter and thinner design than the company’s previous version.
Honor introduced the Magic V2 to the market with the thinnest and lightest design in foldable phones, and today the company outdoes itself with its new release, the Magic V3.
The new phone is 9.2mm thick when folded, and 4.35mm thick when the main screen is open. For an ultra-thin design, the company has developed a new screen hinge design that is 2.84mm thick and supports folding up to 500,000 times.
It also includes a 6.43-inch LTPO screen in the outer cover, which supports FHD+ display quality, a variable refresh rate from 1-120Hz, the screen also features dimensions of 20:9, comes with a brightness of 2500 nits, and supports input with a stylus pen.
The phone’s internal screen is a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED, with FHD+ display quality, and supports a variable refresh rate from 1-120Hz, and a brightness of 1800 nits.
This version comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor chip, 16 GB RAM in LPDDR5X memory, and 1 TB storage in UFS 4.0 capacity. The company also supports the phone with a cooling system (VC) with thermal chambers larger than the previous version.
The Magic V3 comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP sensor with f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization, a 50MP periscope sensor for up to 3.5x optical zoom and f/3.0 aperture, and a 40MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
The phone comes with MagicOS 8.0.1 interface and Android 14 operating system, with artificial intelligence features.
