The Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, announced the launch of the training program for teaching self-defense through the sport of Muay Thai, for beginners, as of yesterday, Monday. The program is organized in the clubs of Muaither, Al Sailiya, and Al Shamal, and runs for a month, during the period from the twenty-second of April. The Federation, in cooperation with sports clubs, seeks to develop the self-defense skills and abilities of boys and youth, and to contribute to spreading the game under the supervision of specialized trainers. Training is distributed throughout the week, as it is held at Muaither Club, on Sunday from six to seven in the evening, while it is held at Al Sailiya Club. On Tuesday, from four-thirty to six in the evening, and at Al-Shamal Club, on Wednesday, from six to seven in the evening. Registration for participation is available through the Qatar Sports for All Federation application, which includes all the details that facilitate the process of joining and participating in various Sports for All activities and events. .
Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Federation, stressed the keenness to provide a greater opportunity for young people to learn and practice Muay Thai, because of its value and importance through learning a new type of self-defense methods, as well as to spread more of the culture of practicing sports through clubs.
