The Qatar Stock Exchange index declined at the beginning of today’s trading, under pressure from 4 sectors. The index fell by 0.09 percent, losing 9.84 points and thus falling to the level of 10,433 points, compared to the close of yesterday’s session (Monday).
Figures issued by the stock exchange showed an increase in the performance of some sectors. The insurance sector rose by 0.60 percent, followed by the real estate sector by 0.45 percent, and the industrial sector by 0.16 percent. On the other hand, the banking and financial services sector decreased by 0.09 percent. The consumer goods and services sector by 0.13 percent, the communications sector by 0.46 percent, and the transportation sector by 0.53 percent.
At around 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth 44.619 million riyals, distributed among 25.705 million shares through the implementation of 1,903 transactions.
