The Investment Promotion Agency achieved great success in its first participation in the “Collign 2024” conference, which was held in the Canadian city of Toronto from June 17 to 20, by introducing the global audience to the “Start in Qatar” initiative.
The “Start from Qatar” pavilion, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Qatar Financial Center, and the Qatar Development Bank, showcased the exclusive benefits and wide opportunities offered to startups and entrepreneurs wishing to establish or expand their businesses in the Qatari market. The conference is one of the fastest growing technology events in North America.
The “Start from Qatar” pavilion witnessed a wide turnout from visitors and participants in the exhibition, most notably His Excellency Dr. Khalid bin Rashid Al Mansouri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada, who stressed the importance of this initiative. The pavilion at the four-day conference provided the opportunity for attendees to communicate with the main partners in the start-up and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Qatar, shed light on the thriving business environment in the country, explore investment opportunities, as well as learn about incentives specifically designed to empower ambitious start-up companies.
