Al Shaqab Racing’s filly “Semrang” (Too Darn Hot) won the Group 2 Prix Calvados for two-year-old female Thoroughbreds held at Deauville Racecourse in France.

Semmering’s win came under the supervision of trainer Oli Sangster and ridden by jockey Dylan Brown McMonigle.

In contrast, the filly “Fries Du Bois” (Earthquake), owned by Dunford Stud and trained by Jean-Claude Rouget and ridden by jockey Christian Demeureux, came in second place, while the filly “Iron Bird” (Showcasing), owned by Wertmeier et Freres and trained by Carlos Lafon Barillas and ridden by jockey Alexei Bouchan, came in third place.

It is worth noting that “Simring” will participate in the Cheveley Park Stakes, a Group 1 race, scheduled to be held at Newmarket Racecourse in England next month.
