The Asian Football Confederation announced today that it will hold its eighth medical conference at the Confederation’s headquarters in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, from July 21 to 25 next year.
The conference brings together renowned medical practitioners from across the Asian continent to promote sports medicine and healthcare for football players in Asia.
“The 8th AFC Medical Conference in Kuala Lumpur 2025, as with previous editions, underscores the importance of sports medicine in protecting the health of our players,” said AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John.
“This year’s theme, ‘Medicine and Science – Navigating Changing Times’ is truly fitting as sports medicine, like football, continues to evolve. With leading experts, the 8th AFC Medical Congress will highlight how advances in science and medicine are integral to the success of Asian football,” he added.
The biennial event will also see the return of the AFC Medical Awards, which will be held on July 24, in conjunction with the conference, to recognise the invaluable contributions of medical professionals in ensuring the highest standards of healthcare for footballers on the continent.
