The match comes as part of the leader’s preparations for the opening of the Ooredoo Stars League on Friday and the launch of the 2024/2025 football season, as the leader held a training camp in Spain for two weeks during which it played several friendly matches. The match comes in light of the good relations between the two clubs, as Turki Al Ali, the Executive Director of Al Sadd Club, previously expressed the readiness of Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium for the confrontation.
The CEO noted that the match will be between two brotherly teams, stressing the historical connection that links Al Sadd to Arab clubs.
Al-Ali pointed out that this type of friendly matches will help the team prepare for the new season, and that the situation will be studied to turn it into a friendly tournament with the participation of several teams.
The occasion will also be an opportunity to showcase club-related matters, such as launching the new kit, presenting new signings to the media, and also showcasing the club’s most prominent future plans.
