Germany’s Oliver Zeidler won the gold medal in the men’s single sculls race today, as part of the competitions of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Zeidler succeeded in finishing the race in (6) minutes, 37 seconds and 57 hundredths of a second, to win Germany’s first medal in this competition since the 2000 Sydney Olympics, while Belarusian Yauheni Zalati won the silver medal after finishing the race in a time of (6) minutes, 42 seconds and 96 hundredths of a second.
The bronze medal went to the Dutchman Simon Van after he finished the race in (6) minutes, 44 seconds and 72 hundredths of a second.
In the men’s eight-man rowing race, Britain won the gold medal after the British crew managed to finish the race in a time of (5) minutes, 22 seconds and 88 hundredths of a second, while the Dutch crew came in second place and won the silver medal after finishing the race in a time of (5) minutes, 23 seconds and 92 hundredths of a second.
The American crew won the bronze medal after finishing the race in a time of (5) minutes, 25 seconds and 28 hundredths of a second.
In the women’s 25m pistol shooting competition, South Korea’s Yang Ji-in won the gold medal after defeating France’s Camille Jandrievsky, who won the silver medal, while Veronika Major of Hungary won the bronze medal.
Major had also won the bronze medal in a playoff, denying Indian player Manu Bhaker a third medal at the Paris Olympics.
