Qatar Airways Group today announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2025/2026, recording profits of 7.08 billion Qatari riyals (1.94 billion US dollars) after deducting taxes. These results reflect a distinguished and strong performance, especially in light of the last month of the fiscal year being affected by major geopolitical challenges, a clear confirmation of the solidity of its business approach and the operational flexibility it enjoys.
During the fiscal year 2025/2026, the group continued its development and innovation process, providing world-class services and products to travelers and the business sector, enhancing the comprehensive travel experience.
Accordingly, Qatar Airways has provided its services to 41.8 million passengers across its growing global network of destinations, maintaining seamless air connectivity through Hamad International Airport. At the same time, the air cargo sector continued its leading performance, with Qatar Airways Cargo transporting more than 1.43 million tons of dutiable weight, strengthening its position as the largest air cargo subsidiary of a commercial airline in the world with a global market share of 12 percent.
In terms of operational performance, Qatar Airways maintained its leadership in the aviation sector in terms of punctuality, recording an 86 percent accuracy rate in take-off and arrival, which established its distinguished position among the five best punctual airlines in the world.
This achievement was crowned by Qatar Airways receiving a Platinum Performance Award from Cirium, the most distinguished and appreciated award in evaluating the performance of operational operations in the aviation sector.
On this occasion, Mr. Hamad Ali Al Khater, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group, said: “Rarely does a single financial year put any organization before a test that requires it to demonstrate the highest levels of operational performance and the highest degrees of institutional flexibility. This is exactly what the fiscal year 2025/2026 required, but the group has proven its competence and worth in dealing with each stage with complete effectiveness.”

The Group’s main achievements during the past financial year include:
– Record expansion in fleet size: Qatar Airways Group signed strategic agreements with Boeing and General Electric Aviation for the purpose of purchasing and maintaining up to 210 aircraft and 400 engines, in one of the largest fleet modernization and expansion deals in the history of commercial aviation.
– Best Airline in the World, for a record ninth time: Qatar Airways was awarded the Best Airline in the World for 2025 by Skytrax International, in an unprecedented achievement that consolidates its excellence and leadership in the global aviation sector.
– Platinum Performance Award from Cirium: in recognition of its outstanding punctuality performance of 86 percent, which placed it among the top five punctual airlines in the world.
– The largest fleet of wide-body aircraft, connected to Internet service: Qatar Airways operates the first and largest fleet of wide-body aircraft, equipped with Starlink technology, where passengers on board Boeing 777, Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-8 aircraft enjoy free high-speed Internet access, on various flights, including long and very long-haul aircraft around the world.
– Hamad International Airport, Best Airport in the Middle East: For the eleventh year in a row, Hamad International Airport won the Skytrax World Award as Best Airport in the Middle East, strengthening its position as a major aviation gateway in the region.
– Best airport shopping experience in the world for the third year in a row: Qatar Duty Free won the Skytrax International Award for the best airport shopping experience in the world for the third year in a row in 2025, which emphasizes its commitment to improving shopping and hospitality services and the passenger experience at Hamad International Airport.
– Qatar Airways Cargo – Global Cargo Leadership: Qatar Airways Cargo has strengthened its distinguished position as the world’s largest commercial airline air cargo company, with more than 1.43 million tons of duty-bound cargo transported and a global market share of 12 percent.
