Qatar Airways Group yesterday launched its annual Safety and Security Awareness Event, which aims to promote a culture of safety across all its business operations.
Under the slogan “It starts with you and continues with me,” the campaign was launched at the Plaza Doha Hotel, by M. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group.
It is worth noting that this campaign, which was launched in cooperation with many partners from all over Qatar, including the Ministry of Interior, Mowasalat Company (Karwa) and Hamad Medical Corporation, is supported by a number of divisions of the Qatar Airways Group and its subsidiaries, including Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, Qatar Duty Free, Discover Qatar, Hamad International Airport, and Oryx International School.
During his opening speech, Engineer Al Meer expressed his gratitude to the employees of the Qatar Airways Group and the participating institutions, saying: “Cooperation remains the most important approach to enhancing sustainable safety and security. Today’s partnership approach underscores our country’s shared vision and dedication to achieving a common goal of providing a safe and reliable air transport network.”
The event includes exhibition pavilions that open daily between 11 am and 3 pm on January 12, and between 8 am and 2 pm on January 13 and 14. The event also offers fun activities including employee competitions, live performances and games, as well as group competitions, competitions and appreciation prizes.

Among the exhibition’s pavilions, the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion highlights the work of its various departments, including the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, and the General Directorate of Traffic, while Karwa Academy, a Mowasalat entity, displays safe driving initiatives that highlight traffic safety. . For its part, Hamad Medical Corporation presents its distinguished heart health campaign, “All of Us.”
