Qatar Airways announced a new feature through which it gives Privilege Club members in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the opportunity to earn Avios points from their daily spending with the Alawwal Privilege Club credit card. Through its official website, Qatar Airways invited travelers to collect Avios points and use them to book reward flights, upgrade travel class, shop and enjoy distinctive experiences in the many cafes and restaurants in Qatar Duty Free, among others.
She said: “Enjoy up to 90,000 additional Avios points during the first year, earn up to two Avios points for every 1 Saudi riyal you spend, and accelerate your progress towards reaching the Gold category in the Privilege Club.”
She stated that the Qatar Airways Privilege Club credit card offers an additional 10,000 Avios points after the first transaction, an additional 40,000 Avios points after the total spending reaches 40,000 Saudi riyals in the first 6 months, an additional 10,000 Avios points every 3 months when the total spending internationally reaches 10,000 Saudi riyals, and an additional 10,000 Avios points upon renewal (starting from the second year).
The First Privilege Club credit card provides additional benefits such as free access to airport lounges, concierge services, discounts on restaurants at airports, meet and assist services at the airport, a discount on car rentals, credit card insurance, travel insurance, purchase insurance, an extended warranty, and insurance against fraudulent exploitation of the card.
Qatar Airways indicated that the fee for the Qatar Airways Alawwal Privilege Club credit card amounts to 950 Saudi riyals per year + value-added tax, noting that it is available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia only.
