Today, the Qatar Chamber launched its strategy for the years 2025-2030, which is a road map aimed at achieving resource sustainability and developing services to keep pace with digital transformation and economic variables.
Its vision includes the Qatar Chamber to be a global strategic meeting place for the private sector, and that the State of Qatar be the perfect choice for doing business, while its mission is to promote and support the Qatari private sector locally and globally, represent it and defend its issues.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Directors, stressed that the Chamber’s strategy includes six strategic goals that include, developing the business environment to become attractive to local and foreign investments, as well as support and encourage small and medium -sized companies and entrepreneurs, as well as converting the Qatar Chamber into a global center for communication and influence, as well as the transformation into the digital economy, and the consolidation of a positive mental image by upgrading the level of the performance of the room, and achieving Financial sustainability.
The Qatar Chamber’s strategy focuses on supporting and encouraging small and medium -sized companies, through the establishment of a specialized department to prepare feasibility studies and market studies, and to establish a center for business development and leadership in the room in cooperation with the United Nations Development Organization for Industry (UNIDO), in addition to establishing a specialized device for the room to follow up and oversee innovation and small and medium enterprises and set an index for innovation in cooperation with one of the specialized expertise houses, and the launch of a platform for exploring Investment opportunities include investment opportunities for government agencies, investment opportunities outside Qatar and opportunities looking for financing.
Through this strategy, the Chamber seeks to develop the business environment to become attractive to local and foreign investments, by carrying out an auxiliary role for the government in stimulating the national economy and reviewing the laws and legislations related to business practice, and emphasizing the role of the Chamber as a link between the government and the private sector, as well as strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors.
The Chamber’s strategy focuses on supporting the transformation to the digital economy, as it aims to provide all the services of the Chamber electronically and benefit from artificial intelligence in completing daily tasks inside the room, in addition to supporting the establishment of a Qatari electronic marketing platform linking the Arab world and the world, and providing a reliable platform to facilitate traffic to the world of business, services and consultations.
The strategy also aims to expand and document the database and information in the room, and to cooperate with the Ministry of Trade and Industry in auditing data and information when issuing commercial records, as well as issuing a guide to classifying companies according to the type of activity, as well as issuing electronic and paper evidence, and establishing virtual exhibitions with the participation of local and international companies.
The Chamber’s strategy includes 2025-2030, to take advantage of the global relations network that the Chamber is distinguished for to establish the largest electronic marketing platform for the Arab private sector, such as Ali Baba and Amazon, and the idea of establishing a company established by the Chamber to convert the platform into a commercial project that achieves a return of the room.
The strategy also includes re -introducing the idea of organizing the annual consultative meeting with His Excellency the Prime Minister and Ministers, developing the skills and competencies of workers in the Qatari private sector, as well as organizing a monthly meeting with business owners, as well as supporting and enhancing women’s participation by activating the role of the businesswomen forum, adopting grants to support companies investing in training their workers, and organizing field visits to companies and factories to determine problems and suggest solutions.
The strategy aims to expand the base of private sector participation in the International Chamber of Commerce – Qatar, attract international companies to the Qatari market, and organize periodic forums and meetings to achieve communication between the local and global business community in coordination with the exhibitions department in the room, in addition to supporting the administration with new competencies.
The Chamber seeks, through coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, in coordination with embassies and commercial attachés abroad to host commercial representation offices inside the new Chamber headquarters in Lusail city aimed at attracting foreign companies to invest in Qatar and improve and develop the business environment in Qatar and lead Qatar investment abroad, and develop the directions of the digital economy.
The strategy aims to consolidate a positive mental image of the room by upgrading the level of the room’s performance by supporting the management of the committees with distinguished Qatari competencies to play its role as a communication link between the Chamber and the private sector, as well as the adoption of a new strategy for the Qatar International Center for Tawafi and Arbitration, as well as support for research and studies management with new experiences and competencies and the development of the exhibitions department to play the role of organizing exhibitions and conferences and developing the training department, in addition to establishing departments And new departments to meet the strategy implementation needs.
