The State of Qatar, represented by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, participated in the thirty -first meeting of the Committee of the Agents of the Ministries of Post and Communications in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which was held in the State of Kuwait.
The Qatari delegation was headed by Eng. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al -Muslimani, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
The meeting aims to enhance joint cooperation between the GCC countries in the fields of mail and communications, and to exchange experiences and ideas to keep pace with the accelerated developments in these two vital sectors, which contributes to supporting digital transformation and sustainable development in the Arab Gulf states.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of issues related to the development of the mail and communications sectors in the GCC countries, in addition to following up a set of decisions of previous meetings, with a focus on the importance of continuing joint work to keep pace with digital transformations and enhance the process of sustainable development and innovation in the region.
In this context, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al -Muslimani, head of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, said: “The participation of the State of Qatar in this meeting confirms our firm commitment to the joint Gulf work in the fields of mail and communications, as they are two basic sectors for achieving regional development and integration. This comes consistent with the efforts led by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority to implement its national strategy supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which contributes to enhancing the regional and international state of Qatar in the fields of mail and communications, and makes Gulf cooperation a common platform for achieving sustainable development and innovation.
