Qatar Energy has signed a long-term agreement to supply naphtha to Shell International Oriental Trading Company, based in Singapore.
Under the agreement, the company will be supplied with up to 18 million tons of naphtha over a period of twenty years, starting in April 2025.
His Excellency Engineer Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Managing Director and CEO of Qatar Energy, said: “We are happy to sign the first agreement for Qatar Energy to sell naphtha, with a duration of 20 years, which is the largest and longest agreement to date. This is the second agreement of its kind that “We have been signing with Shell since 2019, which builds on our strategy of creating stronger relationships with our partners and large corporate end-consumers.”
His Excellency the Minister of State for Energy Affairs added: “The signing of this agreement strengthens the relationship between Qatar Energy and Shell, which is not only a reliable buyer of naphtha, but also a major and strategic partner. We look forward to building on our long-standing relations with Shell and achieving greater successes in the future.”
In turn, Mr. Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell, said: “We are honored to conclude this long-term agreement with our esteemed partner Qatar Energy.
