Qatar Export Development and Promotion Agency “Tasdeer” concluded its participation in the Saudi Infrastructure Exhibition 2024 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as the exhibition aimed to open business opportunities for companies operating in the infrastructure sector.
Qatar Export Development and Promotion Agency (Tasdeer) provides exporters with comprehensive knowledge of international markets and the opportunities available to them, as well as actual support to promote their services and products. In 2011, Qatar Development Bank launched an export development and promotion agency “Tasdeer” to serve all Qatari exporters, regardless of the ownership of companies, the size of export contracts, the sectors they represent, or the size of their revenues, with the aim of developing non-hydrocarbon exports through incentives and initiatives that contribute to strengthening national capabilities. .
In addition to accelerating the development of the private sector in line with the National Vision of the State of Qatar 2030, and building a strong and diversified economy by enhancing the performance of Qatari exporters and increasing the competitiveness of the Qatari product in international markets. It also aims to develop exporters in the non-oil and non-hydrocarbon fields through exhibitions, coordination meetings and trade missions.
The companies eligible for registration are industrial companies that have a valid industrial license, and service sector companies registered under:
1. Registered with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Mainland)
2. Qatar Financial Center
3. Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP)
4. Free zones in Qatar
Industrial sector requirements for registration:
General company information: commercial register, industrial license, company incorporation card, company logo, contact information
Facility information: factory area number, capacity and used capacity of the factory,
Financial information: The company’s financial statements for the last 3 years
Product Information: Harmonized System codes for products
Requirements for service sector companies to register:
General company information: company logo, contact details, detailed description of services provided
Financial information: Financial statements for the past 3 years (if available)
The “Going Global” Export Accelerator Program also aims to accelerate the growth of companies in global markets through: developing a growth strategy for exporters in the State of Qatar, identifying and analyzing target markets, developing and completing an export business plan, and identifying available resources. To expand into global markets.
Participating companies are classified into 3 categories, which are determined through a company evaluation:
Companies aspiring to export: These are small and medium-sized companies that have the potential/idea to export, and have not yet exported or have no previous experience in exporting.
Companies ready to export: These are small and medium-sized companies that have little experience in exporting and have exported one or two deals (indirect export or direct export to neighboring countries).
Experienced exporters: They are small and medium-sized companies with strong export experience and wish to expand into new markets.
