Al-Arabi Club announced today that it has signed a contract with Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Sanchez “Rodri” from Real Betis Club for three seasons.
The club stated, in a post on the X platform, that the 24-year-old Spanish player signed a contract to join the team until the summer of 2027.
Rodri joined the youth ranks of the Spanish “VerdiBlancos” in the summer of 2016, coming from Deportivo La Coruna, and then appeared four years later in the first team shirt of Real Betis.
He played 127 official matches with them, during which he scored 8 goals and contributed 14 assists.
Al Arabi, who recently signed Jordanian international striker Yazan Al Nuaimat, are seeking to improve their results in the Ooredoo Stars League after suffering a heavy defeat against Al Sadd, the title holder, by five clean goals in the third round. The team failed to achieve its first victory this season, so its balance stopped at two points from two draws against Al Shahaniya and Al Wakrah.
