Qatar Tourism celebrates the “Persian Saturday” initiative

Qatar Tourism is participating through its visit QATAR marketing arm with its partners in launching the first version of the “Persian Saturday” initiative in the State of Qatar, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, Family and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The violet Sabbath is a qualitative initiative aimed at strengthening persons with disabilities and their empowerment in society, provided that it is held annually on the last Saturday of July, and the Care of Persons with Disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launched this initiative in 2021, where its scope was expanded to include the Gulf Cooperation Council countries as an expression of solidarity and unity.
The “Violet” in Qatar brings together partners from the public and private sectors in order to enhance comprehensive access, increase awareness and encourage participation. In the context of supporting the initiative, Qatar Tourism, through its marketing arm, has contributed to this humanitarian initiative through the Qatar Games Festival, where the “Violet Saturday” will be included in the festival programs to celebrate this day, while providing free entry to people with disabilities throughout the festival period.
To support this initiative, 16 Qatar tourism partners, from stores and hotels, provides many exclusive offers and custom services.
In this context, Qatar calls for tourism to visit the official website of the Ministry of Social Development and Family to see more information about the way to download the digital card of the “Violet Saturday”, which will be suitable for use in stores and participating hotels during the period from July 26 to August 1, 2025.
“The Persian Saturday” is an important station in a growing path towards a more comprehensive society, led by multiple -sectors cooperation and a common vision to achieve easy access to all.
