Qatar Tourism, through the Service Excellence Academy, launched a new training program under the name “Qatar Ambassadors: The Path to Excellence,” which is being implemented in cooperation with the Police Officers Institute of the Ministry of Interior, with the aim of improving visitors’ experiences at all entry and exit points by developing skills and knowledge. Ports and passport officers.
The training program, considered the first of its kind, was implemented over a period of three days and concluded with the handing over of certificates of completion to 20 graduates at the Civil Defense Officers Club.
During the program, the importance of the role of passport officers was recalled as “Qatar’s ambassadors” who create first and last impressions that are often lasting for visitors. Trainees gain experience and skills that qualify them to provide exceptional services and smooth experiences for all travelers.
The program aims to enable officers to deal with diverse situations with professionalism, empathy and care, by enhancing their effective communication skills, emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity. The program includes five training modules: the role of immigration in the travel experience, mastering effective communication skills, striving for excellence, emotional intelligence, and Qatar’s ambassadors.
Mr. Omar Al Jaber, Acting Head of the Tourism Development Sector at Qatar Tourism, said: “The Qatar Ambassadors Program: The Path to Excellence represents a joint effort and the result of cooperation between the Service Excellence Academy of Qatar Tourism and the Police Officers Institute, with the aim of providing the necessary training for workers on the front lines who deal face to face.” With visitors to Qatar, as they are the first to receive visitors upon their arrival in Qatar. There is no doubt that the role they play in representing Qatar is a vital role in preserving the mental image of our country in front of visitors.”

For his part, Colonel Nayef Mohammed Al-Mannai, Director of the Police Officers Institute, said: “This course comes in cooperation with Qatar Tourism to enhance visitors’ satisfaction and establish a positive impression of the State of Qatar, by efficiently dealing with the needs and challenges they may face while performing their duties. The course aimed to provide officers with high skills in dealing with visitors.”
