Al Rayyan Club announced today that it has officially signed a contract with Portuguese Artur Jorge to assume responsibility for the technical management of the first football team, with a contract extending until 2027.

The club stated in a statement through its official account on the “X” platform that the 53-year-old coach has become the team’s new technical director with a three-year contract.

Al Rayyan Club welcomed its new coach, expressing its great hope of achieving results that satisfy the aspirations of its fans.

Georgie signed his training contract today, and will lead his first training session with the team tomorrow, Sunday, at the club’s stadium.

The Portuguese coach led the Brazilian team Botafogo to win the Libertadores Cup, becoming the third Portuguese coach to achieve this continental title in history, after his compatriots Jorge Jesus with Flamengo and Abel Ferreira with Palmeiras.

Earlier today, Al Rayyan terminated its contract with coach Younis Ali by mutual consent between the two parties.

Al Rayyan is preparing for an important match in the “I Want Stars League” against Umm Salal next Friday at the Grand Hamad Stadium in the opening of the second section, “the twelfth round of the tournament.”
