“QTerminals”: ​​3.9 million safe working hours in Hamad Port by the end of October

QTerminals Company announced that the number of basic working hours without accidents and lost time at Hamad Port amounted to 3,970,254 hours by the end of last October, while the total number of working hours since the beginning of the year to date reached 4,647,680 hours.
The company stated in a post on its official account on the “X” platform that the total number of working hours in the month of October amounted to 485,972 hours, while the total rate of reported injuries reached 1.72. She pointed out that the monthly census includes data for QTerminals employees and contractors as well.
QTerminals stressed its keenness to provide a safe work environment for all employees and visitors, noting that it is one of the basic values ​​in which the company believes.

Hamad Port is the main port of the QTerminals Group. The company manages and develops the port, which is distinguished by its strategic location, extending over an area of ​​28.5 square kilometers. It is one of the largest ports in the Middle East with a capacity of 7.5 million TEUs annually. It includes a general cargo terminal with a capacity of 7.5 million TEUs annually. 1.7 million tons annually and a grain station with a capacity of 1 million tons annually, in addition to a car station that accommodates 500 thousand cars annually.
Early this year, Hamad Port obtained the global environmental PERS certificate granted by the ECOSLC Foundation (based in the Netherlands) to seaports that met the standards and requirements necessary for environmental management, and exceeded the evaluation tests and performance indicators required to obtain the award.
This certificate is evidence of Hamad Port’s commitment to applying the best innovative practices based on environmental sustainability and clean energy in its operations in line with the strategic plan of the Ministry of Transport. It is also considered an affirmation of Qatar’s leadership in green, environmentally friendly projects regionally and globally.
QTerminals works in the field of operating and managing ports and terminals, and provides container and bulk cargo handling services, in addition to marine supply and support services and cruise ship services. The company expanded its ability to reach international ports by acquiring a majority stake in the Kramer Group, which is a service provider. Integrated logistics and container services, in the Dutch port of Rotterdam, which is considered the largest in Europe, as well as the acquisition of the Turkish port of Akdeniz, which is located at the far western end of Antalya and is a multi-purpose port that includes a cruise terminal, a terminal for containers and bulk cargo, general cargo and a shipping terminal. An agreement with Ukraine for a period of 35 years, to operate the port of Olivia in the city of Mykolaiv on the Black Sea in December 2021.
The company also recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Qatar Free Zones Authority, to manage and operate operations at the marina port located in the Umm Al Houl Free Zone. Under this agreement, QTerminals will assume responsibility for managing and developing all marina port operations and providing an integrated package of marine and handling services, as well as Managing multi-use docks to support industries and factories that export to strategic projects in the State of Qatar or to the outside world, in addition to providing marine services for yachts and ships. QTerminals will also work to facilitate the construction and repair of ships and yachts.
