The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) revealed the most important developments of the fourth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum, which will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the period from 27 to 29 October next at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, and in partnership between (Aqarat) and Informa Tharawat Company.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, Chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, said during a press conference held today as part of preparations for the launch of this edition, that the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 is being held at a stage in which the region and the world are witnessing rapid geopolitical developments that cast their shadows on various economic sectors, which adds special importance to the discussions presented by the forum about the future of the real estate sector and its ability to adapt to all developments.
For his part, Sheikh Hamad bin Talal Al Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, stressed that the company has strongly contributed to shaping the renaissance of the real estate scene, transforming it from a mere witness to development into a major maker that has consolidated the position of the State of Qatar as a reliable investment destination on the regional and international arenas.
He revealed that the company’s economic portfolio currently includes more than 41 investments, assets and projects under development distributed in many countries around the world, pointing out that Qatari Diar is heading towards a new strategic phase based on efficiency and sustainability, and targeting optimal management of assets to maximize their economic value while adhering to the highest standards of governance, in a way that supports the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in its economic and development dimensions.
The CEO of Qatari Diar stressed the extreme importance of true partnership between the public and private sectors, and the necessity of relying on a solid legislative and institutional system to ensure the sustainability of major real estate projects. He considered that the “Qatar Real Estate Forum” represents a vital economic platform that brings together decision-makers, investors and developers to shape the features of the next real estate phase, in a way that serves the country’s aspirations towards building a diversified economy led by knowledge and stimulated by innovation.

He pointed out that despite the regional geopolitical challenges, data issued by the Real Estate Registration Department in the Ministry of Justice showed a growth in the value of real estate transactions, reaching a total of 10.69 billion riyals (about 2.9 billion US dollars), during the first six months of 2026.
He added: “Through this edition, the Authority aims to launch a forum that keeps pace with the positive transformations taking place in the sector, and enhances integration and interconnection between various parties, thus opening broader horizons for building strategic partnerships and exploring qualitative investment opportunities. In the fourth edition of the Qatar Real Estate Forum, we will highlight how global capital is currently directed towards a major restructuring of investment portfolios, driven by superior technological transformations, and the search for safe havens that provide sustainable returns.”
He noted that the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 will highlight the tokenization of real estate assets as a modern and innovative financial tool, as the distinguished Council of Ministers approved
In its regular meeting (26) for the year 2026, which was held last August 26, a draft law was approved to regulate real estate coding and the trading of real estate codes and its draft executive regulations.
