Registration for the Al-Da’a and Al-Talaa tournaments begins at the festival "Goal 2025"

Today, the registration process for the “Al-Tala’” and “Al-Da’a” tournaments in its various categories began within the Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival (Marmi 2025) in its sixteenth edition, which is held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, and with the support of the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund ( Support) from January 1 to February 1, 2025 in Sabkha Marmi in Sealine.

Citizen falconers came in large numbers to the headquarters of the Al-Gannas Association at the General Foundation for the Cultural Village (Katara) to register for “Al-Tala’” and “Al-Da’a”, for which registration was opened electronically on the 20th of this month, and will close tomorrow, “Wednesday”, at eleven o’clock at night. While registration and inspection will continue in person until next Thursday.

On the other hand, the registration process for the Hadad Challenge Championship continued until the 26th of this month.

Mr. Muhammad Mubarak Al-Ali, Chairman of the Tala’ Committee, said in a statement that the festival has a great international standing, which is confirmed by the large demand for registration in various tournaments, including the Tala’ Championship, explaining that the committee chose a new and virgin field for the competition this year, which is close to the previous field. The race distance reaches 2 km.

For his part, Mr. Hamad Saleh Al Masoud, Chairman of the Da’wa Committee, said in a similar statement that the Da’wa Championship in its various categories witnessed a distinguished turnout on the first day of registration, pointing out that the tournament witnesses competition in a number of rounds.

Falconer Saad Issa Al-Muhannadi said that he is participating in the Marmi Festival for the third year, where the tournament witnesses strong competition, whether from Qataris or brothers from the Gulf, noting that he was fully prepared by training his falcon, which he was keen to acquire with great care.

For his part, falconer Abdullah Al-Otaibi from Saudi Arabia said that he is happy to participate in the festival for the eighth year, noting that although he has not been crowned yet, registering his participation in the falconers’ forum is an incentive for him not to despair and his aspiration to achieve a positive result through Shaheenah.

For his part, falconer Nasser Al Shamsi, a member of the Al Razzi team from the United Arab Emirates, said that we participate in the Marmi Festival annually and we wait for it from year to year, pointing out that the team has risen to the podium more than once in previous editions, and that they are hopeful that they will continue to shine. Especially since they will participate with a large number of peregrines.

In turn, falconer Hamad bin Sultan Al Ketbi from the Al Haer team from the Emirates explained that the team is participating with 6 falcons in the Hadad Challenge Championship, in its next edition, which will start at the beginning of next year, stressing that the Marmi Festival is one of the well-known international festivals that receives the attention of falconers from all over the world. GCC countries, due to the nature of the tournaments and the valuable prizes, shows the strength of the competition.
