Today, the General Assembly of Al Rayyan Club elected His Excellency Sheikh Al Qaqaa bin Hamad Al Thani as President of the Club by acclamation, and Mr. Ali Salem Afifa as Vice President, for the session (2024 – 2028).
The club held the first meeting of the General Assembly the day before yesterday (Thursday), during which the previous minutes were approved, and the report of His Excellency the Club President on the work of the year ending 2024/2023 was discussed, in addition to the activity programs and the work plan for the next year 2025/2024.
The meeting also witnessed the approval of the final account for the fiscal year 2023/2024, the approval of the draft estimated budget for the next fiscal year 2024/2025, the discussion of the auditor’s report for the fiscal year 2023/2024, the appointment of an auditor for the fiscal year 2024/2025, and the consideration of the proposals submitted by the members of the General Assembly.
Mr. Ali Salem Afifa, the club’s vice president, stressed that the administration will spare no effort to support all games, in order to compete in all championships.
He pointed out that the management will continue to work according to the long-term strategic plan that was set last season to advance the club in various games. He also praised the first football team and what it presented in the previous season by obtaining second place in the Qatari League and reaching the final of the Qatar Cup Championship, stressing the continuation of work in the current season to achieve ambitions.
