Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, opened today, Monday, the Technology and Autism Conference, which is organized by Hamad bin Khalifa University with the aim of contributing to improving the lives of autistic individuals.
The conference, which will continue until April 16, will be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health, Sidra for Medicine, Qatar University, the Mada Center for Auxiliary Technology, the Autism Speaks Foundation and the Autism Science Foundation.
On the sidelines of the conference, Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, Chairman of the Qatar Foundation, held a high -level meeting with a group of autistic experts from the United States, and in the presence of Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice -Chairman of the Qatar Foundation and CEO of the Foundation, with the aim of discussing ways of strategic cooperation to enhance the global awareness of the urgent need to increase investment in the field of autism and meet the uncomfortable needs for adults with autism, and develop comprehensive services at the national level, along with the age of age Comprehensive legislation enhances the principle of totalitarianism in the education and health care sectors and society.
The “Technology and Autism” conference includes global leaders in the field of autism and related fields, including artificial intelligence, computing technologies and other emerging specializations, to launch dialogues and discussions on how to accelerate the implementation, development and integration of innovative solutions that contribute to improving the lives of autistic individuals and their families, as well as supporting health care providers for them.
The conference, which coincides with the month of awareness of autism, provides methods on how to enable pioneering research and new technologies in order to revolutionize learning results, methods of treatment and social integration of individuals with autism in local and global environments.
A pivotal role played by the State of Qatar
On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Mujahid Omar Hasna, President of Hamad Bin Khalifa University, said: “There is no doubt that the” Technology and Autism “conference establishes the pivotal role that the State of Qatar plays in promoting awareness of the autism spectrum turmoil at the global level, based on the strong call launched by Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, which is reflected in the diversity of international partners who contributed to planning this conference and participating in its activities.
He added, “The conference realizes the importance of societal engagement with autistic individuals and their families, whether in Qatar or outside it, as this engagement not only enhances support programs in our country, but also enhances Qatar’s position as a global center for community research and exchange of knowledge in the field of autism spectrum disorder.”
The conference includes discussions and lectures on major issues in the field of autism spectrum disorder, most notably diagnosis, treatment, education, community participation and other relevant issues.
Each session provides a platform for supporters for autistic people, policy makers, healthcare professionals, and others, to highlight advanced solutions and exchange of knowledge in this field, which enhances the pivotal role of the “Technology and Autism” conference, and establishes the status of the State of Qatar as a pioneering center that attracts the leaders of thought and experts from different countries of the world in the field of autism spectrum disorder.
