Sidra Medicine, a member of the Qatar Foundation, will host the second edition of his international conference, “Artificial Intelligence and Medicine 2025”, from April 23 to 26.
The conference highlights the latest developments in artificial intelligence and its vital role in the health care sector with the participation of an elite group of artificial intelligence and health care experts in academic circles, medical practices and the technological sector with the aim of enhancing cooperation and dialogue between sectors.
Dr. Mitchell Stutland, deputy head of the surgery department in Sidra Medicine and the founder of the series of artificial intelligence and medicine conferences, said that Sidra Medicine considers artificial intelligence an incentive for innovation, whether in early diagnosis or the development of treatment plans or how to process data and provide personal care for patients.
He pointed out that the conference will provide an opportunity for the medical community in Qatar to communicate with the pioneers of artificial intelligence across the world and then contribute to drawing the features of the future of medicine.
The conference is scheduled to precede a workshop that focuses on developing and applying automated learning models in the field of health care and includes presentations and discussions led by health care experts and highlighting a revolution in a revolution in diagnosis, allocating treatment and discovering the leading artificial intelligence applications in the field of health care.
For his part, Professor Khaled Fakhro, head of the research department in Sidra Medicine, said that the global health care sector is witnessing major developments thanks to the accelerated progress in the field of artificial intelligence, and therefore it is important to enhance the integration between scientific research, technology and clinical care.
The conference, which is held in cooperation with the Qatar Council for Research, Development and Innovation Award, attracts participants of various specializations that include doctors, nursing staff, medical students, computer scientists, engineers, academics and researchers, in addition to those interested in digital health.
