Yesterday, the Qatar Chamber hosted a high -level commercial delegation from the Kingdom of Sweden headed by His Excellency Mr. Benjamin Dosa, Minister of International Development and Foreign Trade, and the delegation included heads and representatives of more than 40 Swedish companies specializing in various economic sectors, and attended the joint business meeting held at the Chamber’s headquarters, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al -Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, And a number of members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, in addition to His Excellency Mrs. Nadia Bint Ahmed Al -Shaibi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Sweden, and His Excellency Mr. Gutemat Hacharia, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the State of Qatar, and a crowd of businessmen and representatives of about 140 Qatari companies.

During the meeting, the cooperation relations between the two countries were discussed, especially in the commercial and economic fields, the investment climate and opportunities available in the two countries, and the role of the private sector in stimulating mutual and joint investments and promoting trade exchange.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al -Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Benjamin Dosa, Minister of International Development and Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, witnessed the signing of the agreement to establish the Swedish Swedish Business Council, which was signed by the Qatari side, Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al -Musnad, member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and from the Swedish side, Mrs. Sarah Rado, Vice -Chairman of the Trade and Investment Council.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, welcomed the Swedish delegation, stressing the keenness of the Qatar Chamber to develop and develop cooperation and partnership relations, exchange experiences and explore the available investment opportunities in both countries.
His Excellency said that the Swedish -Swedish relations have witnessed in recent years a remarkable growth in various fields, especially in the sectors of technology, innovation, renewable energy, and health care, pointing to the aspirations of the Qatari private sector to enhance its partnership with its Swedish counterpart, whether through joint projects or through the exchange of modern experiences and technologies, in a way that contributes to achieving the sustainable economic development of the two countries.
He explained that the signing of the agreement to establish the joint Swedish Qatari Business Council is an important step in the context of strengthening and developing economic and commercial cooperation relations between the two countries, as the joint business council will have an important role in bringing the businessmen and companies from the two countries and facilitating mutual and joint investments and increasing the level of trade exchange between the two countries.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani pointed out that the State of Qatar, thanks to the wise vision of its wise leadership, is proceeding with a confident pace towards building a diverse and sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation, which opens wide horizons for the leading Swedish companies to enter into investment projects and strategic partnerships in the Qatari market, calling on the major Swedish companies to enhance their cooperation with their Qatari counterparts and direct their investments to the State of Qatar, Which today has become a world -class center for business and investment, thanks to its advanced infrastructure, its attractive investment environment, in addition to stimulating economic legislation.

Various opportunities for cooperation
And the development of trade relations
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Benjamin Dosa, Minister of International Development Cooperation and Swedish Foreign Trade, praised the great progress that Qatar is witnessing in various fields, noting that the convening of the business forum between business owners from the two countries reflects the common concern towards developing cooperation relations towards wider horizons.
He praised the signing of the agreement to establish a joint business council, pointing out that this council will contribute to enhancing rapprochement and cooperation between the private sector in both sides, opening new channels for investment and partnership and creating a more sustainable future.
He also expressed his pleasure in the momentum of investment relations between the two parties and the presence of many Swedish companies in the Qatari market in areas such as health, digitization and advanced technology, pointing to the similarity between his country’s vision and Qatar 2030 vision, which provides various opportunities for cooperation, developing trade relations between them and facing all challenges.
Dosa called on the Qatari companies to invest in the Swedish technology sector, especially since Sweden is one of the highest countries in innovation, stressing that the Joint Business Council will enhance trade relations and partnerships between the two countries.

Many opportunities are available for partnership
For his part, His Excellency Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al -Musnad, a member of the Qatar Chamber’s Board of Directors, in his speech during the Swedish Qatari business meeting, affirmed the joint commitment between the two sides to continue to develop their economic relations and enhance the cooperation between the Qatari and Swedish private sector.
He pointed out that the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Sweden enjoy strong and fast -growing relations, especially in the commercial and economic fields, and at the level of the private sector, there are many opportunities available for partnership and cooperation between Qatari and Swedish companies, especially in the sectors related to technology and innovation.
The Qatar Chamber’s keenness to see investments, commercial projects and new alliances between the private sector in the two countries, especially since Qatar provides many investment opportunities in all sectors, is supported by a global infrastructure, advanced legislation, and an attractive investment climate, which opens the way for greater cooperation between business leaders from both sides.
Al -Musnad considered that the signing of the agreement to establish the Swedish Qatari Business Council is an important step towards enhancing the cooperation between the private sector in both countries, as this council will form a vital platform that brings together business leaders and companies from Qatar and Sweden, which enhances joint investments, and enhances intraocular trade between the two countries.

Common projects and mutual investments
For his part, Mr. Jean -Larsen, CEO of the Swedish Trade and Investment Council, said that the Swedish delegation is looking to enhance cooperation with Qatari companies and to invest in Qatar, noting that Qatar Vision 2030 opens areas for cooperation between the two sides, especially in sectors such as innovation, digitization, education, health care, industry, technology, renewable energy, and others.
Larsen noted that Swedish companies are distinguished by experience and innovation and are ready to cooperate and partnership with Qatari companies in joint projects and mutual investments in various sectors, whether in Qatar or Sweden.
He pointed out that there are many opportunities available for cooperation between business owners from the two countries, pointing out that the goal of the visit is to conclude partnerships and deals with the Qatari side and achieve mutual benefit from the economists of the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, the Qatari side presented many presentations to review the climate and opportunities of investment in Qatar and the incentives and facilities provided by the state to attract foreign investments. Where the Investment Promotion Agency, Qatar Ports and the Qatar Free Zones Authority presented separate offers that reviewed the investment and business environment in the country and a summary of the role of each party and the successes that it has accomplished since its foundation.
The Swedish delegation also presented a number of presentations through a number of Swedish bodies and companies wishing to invest in Qatar.
